Naming conventions
All letters (a-z) and numbers (0-9) are allowed; hyphens (-) are also allowed, however not at the beginning or at the end of the domain name. A domain name should be between 3 and 63 characters long.
.travel domain name transfers to UniNames are possible.
Procedure
.travel transfers to UniNames can be requested by sending a transfer request through our website.
The current domain owner will receive an e-mail with the next steps to approve the transfer.
After confirmation the transfer is initiated through the official registry and the losing registrar will receive the transfer request.
The losing registrar will also send an email to the Owner/Admin-C. allowing him/her to deny the transfer. If you do not respond to the email of the losing registrar, then the transfer will get processed successfully after 5 days and transfered to UniWeb
Additional conditions
Ensure that your domain does not have a lock status (REGISTRAR-LOCK or HOLD). If the domain is locked, then the owner should request his current registrar to unlock it
Make sure that the email-address of the Admin Contact is active. Normally a period of 3 to 4 days will be granted to approve the transfer request. The losing registrar will also send an email to the Owner/Admin-C. allowing him/her to deny the transfer. If you do not respond to the email of the losing registrar, then the transfer will get processed successfully after 5 days. If the admin contact’s e-mail is not active you should ask your current registrar to correct the admin contact’s e-mail address.
The transfer should be initiated some time before the domain name expires. This to avoid that the transfer request is still being processed when the domain has passed its expiration date. If this happens the owner is responsible for the payment of possible fees that may be charged by the current registrar.
Please ensure that the domain is older than 60 days. Otherwise the transfer request will be declined.
