Procedure

1. .de Transfers can be requested by sending a transfer request through our website.
2. Once UniNames has received the transfer request, UniNames will send a so-called KK-Antrag to the current admin contact. The current admin contact that lives in Germany has to agree with this transfer. If not, a special procedure will have to be started and your transfer request will be put on hold.
3. The transfer request will be active up to 1 month. If the admin contact has not reacted after this period, it is still possible to agree with the transfer by using a so-called “LATE ACK”. A clarification will have to be added to the LATE ACK.

Additional conditions

1. Ensure that your domain does not have a lock status (REGISTRAR-LOCK or HOLD). If the domain is locked, then the owner should request his current registrar to unlock it.
2. The transfer should be initiated some time before the domain name expires. This to avoid that the transfer request is still being processed when the domain has passed its expiration date. If this happens the owner is responsible for the payment of possible fees that may be charged by the current registrar.
3. Please inform your current provider that a transfer request has been made on your behalf. This to avoid that your current agent would reject the transfer request.
The KK-antrag is to be faxed to Uninames and to your current agent / registrar.
The transfer request will be rejected if you have any open issues with your current registrar. Your current registrar will block the transfer if you still have unpaid invoices.
