Companies that are located in Austria or corporations that have business-relations with companies in Austria mainly use an .co.at or a .or.at domain name. These are second level domains.
Legal requirements
No special requirements. Anyone can register a .at domain name.
Technical requirements
No special requirements.
Naming conventions
All letters (a-z) and numbers (0-9) are allowed; hyphens (-) are also allowed, however not at the beginning or at the end of the domain name. A domain name should be between 3 and 63 characters long.
.at domain names transfers to UniNames are possible. The transfer itself is free, but is considered as a new registration; therefore a 1-year fee will be charged (or more years on request). Exactly 1 year after you have transferred your domain name, it will expire. Keep in mind that any remaining registration time at your former agent will be lost.
Procedure
.at transfers can be requested by sending a transfer request through our website.
When UniNames receives a transfer request, we will send you a document, which needs to be signed and send back to UniNames. Once UniNames receives the document, the actual transfer can take place.
Additional conditions
Make sure you verify the information on the transfer document. The transfer will take place as soon as the information on the transfer document is filled out correctly.
The following domain name information can be updated through your UniNames domain control panel.
